The Morehouse College
Social Justice Debates

The Social Justice Debates are the only intercollegiate debate series in the world dedicated to social justice topics. Founded by Morehouse College and The George Washington University in 2016 as a tribute to the teaching and scholarship of Professor Derrick A. Bell, the aim is to promote productive and rigorous debates challenging current and future thought leaders to consider issues of justice in relation to the distribution of wealth, opportunity, and privilege in U.S. society. The series begins with Fall Openers and Regional Championships, and culminates in a US National Championship tournament hosted by Morehouse College.
